what is the words project?

each day this year, i am selecting a common word from my vocabulary and replacing it with an archaic word. and, no, i am making no attempt to be historically accurate or consistent in any way. it's just for fun, see? anyway, i'll use my new vocabulary in various things i write, especially emails. if i find some amusing bits, i'll post them here.

why are you doing this?

i'm all about impractical challenges and making things hard for myself. plus, i'd like to see if i can actually make jay crazy via email. it'll be tough, but i'm up to the challenge.
